Terms of Service
Last updated: September 22, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Rhymechain’s websites, apps, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. The Service
Rhymechain is a Music Creative Operating System that may include idea capture, project collaboration, song and file workspaces, credit and split records, copyright checklists, marketplace discovery, studio listings, bookings, and related tools. Features may change, appear as previews, or be unavailable in your region.
Rhymechain is a software platform. We are not a law firm, collection society, label, publisher, or bank. Information in the Service about credits, splits, copyright readiness, or bookings is for operational coordination and does not replace professional legal, tax, or financial advice.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for safeguarding your credentials.
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 13 years old, or the higher age required locally).
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to the Service or other users.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the creative content you upload or create in the Service (“User Content”), including ideas, lyrics, audio, images, project materials, and listing information, subject to rights you grant below and any agreements you make with collaborators.
You grant Rhymechain a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, and transmit User Content solely as needed to operate and improve the Service and as directed by your sharing settings (for example workspace members, public listings, or artist passports).
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit User Content and that it does not infringe others’ rights or violate law.
5. Credits, splits, and rights records
Tools for contributors, ownership split proposals, copyright checklists, and similar records help teams document intent. Unless expressly stated otherwise in a signed agreement you enter outside or through a future formal agreement feature:
- Split and credit entries are operational records or proposals, not conclusive proof of legal ownership.
- Rhymechain does not adjudicate ownership disputes or guarantee registration with any copyright office or performing rights organization.
- You remain responsible for agreements, clearances, and filings with third parties.
6. Marketplace and bookings
Studio and service listings, engineer profiles, quotes, and bookings are between the parties involved unless we expressly state otherwise. Rhymechain may facilitate scheduling, messaging, or payment tooling, but:
- Listing providers are responsible for the accuracy of their rates, availability, amenities, and policies.
- Bookers are responsible for reviewing terms before confirming a booking.
- Unclaimed directory studio listings are browse-only until a team verifies control. Verified badges indicate accepted operational control, not legal ownership of real property.
- Cancellation: requests may be withdrawn anytime before confirmation. Confirmed sessions follow the provider's published policy. The default is: Full refund if cancelled at least 48 hours before start. 50% refund between 48 and 24 hours. No refund within 24 hours. Rhymechain does not automatically refund payments.
- Platform reviews are published only from completed bookings where the client accepted deliverables. Maps or third-party ratings shown on directory rows are sourced externally and labeled as such.
- Disputes about sessions, no-shows, deposits, or quality should be raised between the parties first; either party may mark a booking disputed in-product. We may assist at our discretion but are not obligated to mediate or adjudicate.
Providers also agree to the Provider Terms.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate law or others’ intellectual property or privacy rights
- Upload malware, scrape the Service without permission, or interfere with security or availability
- Harass, impersonate, or misrepresent affiliation with others
- Use the Service to distribute spam, fraudulent listings, or deceptive commercial content
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, including software, branding, design, and documentation (excluding User Content), is owned by Rhymechain and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Service except as allowed by law or written permission.
9. Third-party services
The Service may integrate with third-party providers (for example authentication, storage, payments, or media platforms). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Rhymechain is not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RHYMECHAIN DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CONTENT WILL BE SECURE OR NOT LOST.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RHYMECHAIN AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO RHYMECHAIN FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Rhymechain against claims arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, your marketplace or booking activity, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) will survive.
14. Subscriptions and automatic renewal
If we offer paid subscriptions or other automatically renewing plans, we will disclose the recurring price, billing period, and how to cancel clearly before you complete purchase (including next to the subscribe or checkout control). Unless you cancel before the end of the then-current period, the plan renews at the then-current rate and your payment method on file will be charged.
You may cancel through account Settings or by contacting support@rhymechain.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless we state otherwise at checkout. Where required by law (including California’s Automatic Renewal Law and similar statutes), we will also send acknowledgment and renewal notices.
15. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, follow the notice procedure on our DMCA Copyright Policy, which lists our designated agent.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Jamaica, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local consumer law requires otherwise. Courts in Kingston, Jamaica will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable rights you have in your place of residence.
